Handwriting
errors can be extremely costly in terms of non-productive time,
misrepresented communication, and medication errors.
The cost of improving employee handwriting can be
an economical investment.
Course Objectives:
1. Increase legibility of cursive style
2. Increase
fluency and speed
3. Reduce pain
in fingers or hands when writing

pencil grasp for greatest efficiency of movement
Course Curriculum
The following
issues will be discussed in the workshop:

The importance of legible handwriting for effective
communication and the legal ramifications of illegibility.

Proper pencil grip
·
Posture, use of the helping hand to support paper
·
Effect of one’s position on writing quality
·
Letter formation of cursive lower case letters (most
time consuming aspect of the workshop)
·
Letter formation of printed capital letters
·
Number formation
·
Use and legibility of abbreviations
·
Techniques to regulate focusing
Group Workshop
at our Ardmore, PA Studio
Individual or a
small group of physicians are welcome to travel to our studio to
improve their handwriting skills. We recommend that two 2-hour
sessions be scheduled to meet your personal goals. Please call the

Seminars for Hospitals or Medical Centers
Class Size,
Costs, and Term
A 3 hour
workshop can be provided to your facility at a mutually agreed upon
date and time. The number of participants will vary, as
will the location. These varying factors will affect the
costs.
Terms are as follows: One-half of the workshop charge and the
total materials fee are requested at least one week prior to the
first class. If for any reason one or more students drop out of the
3-hour class, the workshop charges and materials fees will not be
refunded. The final one-half of the workshop charge, materials fees
as well as the trip charges and
hotel charges (if any) will be
due immediately following the completion of the workshop.
